Papua New Guinea is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. It has over 800 spoken languages a few of these languages have been taken to the grave by their speakers and are now lost forever…i created this blog to hopefully capture a bit of the culture, traditions & languages of this young independent nation which is fast becoming modernised. So you can see for your self the true beauty this country has to offer.
Being half Papua New Guinean myself, i feel that its time the world see’s this country as i see it. The negative media at the moment out weights the positive that we truly have to offer and this blog is all about the positive things in PNG life. So camera in hand i want to take you on a journey, a journey that will lead us down many paths not all of them will have a fairy tale ending that you may imagine but they will be about real people and their journeys thru life….
You commented on my blog so I thought I would come say hi. You have some lovely character studies of people and portraits here, and I love the mix of colour and black and white. Such a lovely culture, and its nice to see it captured in an empathetic way by someone living within it. You have an eye for a good image and are doing lovely stuff, keep it up š
Thank you for your kind words. i decided to combine my 2 passions, my homeland and photography. I still have heaps to learn about both… the whole blogging thing is still new to me but i will get there….:)

Hi Nett,
I grew up in WNB in Karapi village, up the road from Hoskins. I lived there for 15 years. In one of your stories you mention you are in Kwalakesi, not too far away!
I live in Vanuatu now but miss PNG always. I really like your blog on PNG/WNB life and the photography, also two of my own passions! I hope to come and visit this year….
